National Association of Non-Governmental
Organisations (NANGO) is a co-ordinating body for Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO'S) in Zimbabwe. It was founded in 1962 as a welfare organisation under the name of Southern Rhodesia Council of Social Services.
Then it was renamed Voluntary Organisation in Community Enterprise (VOICE). Ten years after independence, member organisations
seriously renewed the organisation resulting in major changes including the change of the name again to National Association
of Non-Governmental Organisations (NANGO). Nango has become the main body facilitating co-operation and collaboration between
and among NGO'S by providing services to them.
To facilitate collaboration and
co-operation among, between and with NGO'S so that :
1. NGO'S share information about their activities.
2. NGO'S plan
strategically and where possible jointly.
3. NGO'S beneficiaries receive maximum service.
To promote, co-ordinate and organise participation
and co-operation among NGO'S in:

* Sharing activities and strategies
* Research and evaluation
* Training and technical assistance
